About

How it all started….

Hello, my name is James Mack and I’m an Original Fine Art painter specializing in acrylic and oil paint mediums. My interest in art started at the age of 12, watching Bob Ross every Saturday morning. However, at that time, I didn’t think I was creative enough to paint so I didn’t pursue it. It took me 46 years later before I really dedicated my life to painting and this came about because of my diabetes diagnosis. I knew that a good diet and exercise was very beneficial to controlling diabetes but what I didn’t know was high stress levels was another contributing factor. After a conversation with my wife, a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, I realized painting was a tremendously way to reduce my stress levels, it was like a form of meditation. Following that conversation, I started painting my first artwork and have painted several more since. It didn’t take long before it became more than a stress reducer but a passion and love.

Art is my passion and my love…

For many years, I looked into the sky, trees in the forest, at animals and other objects and never noticed how beautiful nature was. It wasn’t until, I started painting that I began to see the beauty of this world we live in. I now see the beautiful colors, shapes and details of my surroundings and I try to incorporate them in every one of my pieces of art. I even look at people faces differently, I can see the sun shining on their forehead and the shadows under their eyes and noses, whereas before I didn’t see any of that. The appreciation of details is the driving force behind the passion that I put into my art. The things that make it my own and allow me to put my heart and soul into it. This is why, I would love nothing more than to have my artistic expressions hanging on your wall or in your business.

It’s not just about James Mack, but showcasing art in our community and throughout the United States. As a result, I will be featuring different artists’ works. These are very talented artist and they have the same passion about their work, as I do. Our hope is that you will also support them in their future endeavors.
